Today, a tribute to the brilliant accordionist Alexander Poeluev is the least I can do.
He is an excellent young musician and a great person.
I'm honored to have met him!
Alexander has a wide concert activity. He is a prizewinner
of international competitions and in actively touring in different countries of
the world.
He is a member of the jury of numerous international
competitions.
Art director of the International Festival “Accordion Plus”
in Rostov-on-Don- Russia, Alexander Poeluev has graduated from Moscow State
Institute of Music named after Alfred
Schnittke ( class of People’s Artist of Russia, laureate of international
competitions, professor V.A.Semёnov), made PG at RAM. named after Gnessin.
In 1997 and in 2000. A. Poeluev was twice prizewinner of the
All-Russian Accordion Competition and accordionists in Belgorod.
In 2002 he was the prizewinner of the international
competition of accordionists and bayan “World Cup”, held in Copenhagen
(Denmark), winning the competition in two categories: COUPE MONDIALE – SENIORS
and PIANO ACCORDION CLASS.
In 2005 he became the winner of the international
competition in Detroit (USA).
In 2006 he received the first prize at the International
Competition “Shanghai Spring” in Shanghai (China).
Alexander went on tour in New Zealand, Australia and the
United States, China, the Netherlands, Slovakia, Hungary, Serbia, Croatia,
Bosnia and Herzegovina, Turkey, France, Italy, Finland, Denmark, Sweden,
Lithuania, Latvia, Ukraine, Belarus, Bulgaria, thankfully in my hometown in
Volos-Greece, and in many Russian
cities.
Currently Alexander has a wide concert activity, takes part
in juries of international accordion and bayan competitions, master classes.
He is the art director of the International Festival
“Accordion Plus” in Rostov-on-Don. His repertoire
includes works from the Baroque to modern music, classical, folk, pop and jazz
styles.
He performs recitals, plays as soloist with a symphony
orchestra, and with various ensembles.
